Grown in the elevated vineyards of Royal Slope, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully structured and expressive wine. Plush dark fruit flavors, refined tannins, and a balanced finish make this a standout vintage with remarkable aging potential.

Aromas of dark fruit, ripe plum, and strawberry jam lead into layers of blueberry, crushed mint, green tea, and dried tarragon. Plush fruit flavors dominate up front, followed by well-integrated acidity and structured tannins. The mouthfeel is lush and elegant, while the finish is beautifully balanced, showcasing the depth and character of the Royal Slope appellation.

The 100% estate vineyards are located 1,312 feet above sea level, which allowed the fresh air and higher humidity to create the optimal environment for good polyphenolic ripening. Malbec, Cabernet and Merlot come together perfectly in this stimulating, complex and structured wine, better expressing the complex and rich terroir with spicy and red-fruit aromas. Freshness, structure, persistence — this is a wine that preserves unchanged traits of the original season and terroir, intensified by 18 months in French oak.

Composition: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

The Rhythm Vineyard’s soil is composed of gravelly loam of varying depths and rock content. The incredibly diverse soil profile enables us to farm several small blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon and additional Bordeaux varieties with unique combinations of clonal selections and rootstocks.

The triumphal 2022 Rhythm exudes class and sophistication right out of the glass, flaunting its Stags Leap District breeding and balanced perfection with confidence. There are gorgeous black currants, kirsch, pain grille, cigar wrapper, and pencil shavings on the nose, with loamy rocky aromas intertwined with sandalwood and mint. Fresh and balanced with no heaviness, the chocolatey and cassis flavors linger with a fine density along the medium-long finish.
